🚐 Freddie

An outstanding tour of the South Island made possible by being under our own steam and in charge of our own destiny. The van was super comfy and well kitted out. Shane from Springlight was really communicative and helpful.

We had never used a campervan before. All of Springlights detailed handover and continued support over our hire period was fantastic. Freddie the van was a perfect choice for two to tour the top of south island in winter. Clean warm and quite spacious. Contained everything we needed. The only issue was the TV and satellite system was not functioning. This was fine for us as we did not require it, but could understand that someone expecting this could be disappointed. The bed was so comfortable and we slept so well while on our adventure. Would definitely recommend Springlight for a quality campervan holiday.

Right from booking through to return of Freddie Shane has been nothing short of amazing to deal with. He was very prompt to reply to texts or messages with any questions. The van was so tidy and full of all the mod cons, was really special to have an assortment of kiwi treats in the van when we arrived. Shane did a very thorough handover and was really patient to explain how things work. The van was imaculate, had great heating. We spent one night freedom camping and having the inverter was great to still be able to use for the jug and toaster. Thanks heaps Shane

From the moment Shane picked us up at the airport and introduced us to Freddie, we knew we were in for a fantastic trip. Freddie was well-prepared for our holiday, and we can confidently say he exceeded all our expectations. The interior is both stylish and comfortable, with a luxurious allure and beautifully designed lighting. The island bed was incredibly cozywe slept like babies! The thoughtful goodies already stocked in the fridge meant we could hit the road without delay. Driving took some getting used to on the left-hand side, but thanks to the automatic gearbox, it was a breeze. The powerful engine made every journey smooth, and the extra rearview camera was a great addition, allowing us to use the rearview mirror just like in a regular car. Throughout our trip around the South Island, Shane and Hayley were always available to promptly answer any questions we had. Their service and support were outstanding. Overall, an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend Freddie for anyone looking for a top-notch adventure!

We had the motorhome "Freddie" for a week and it was a great experience. The pickup at the airport was smooth and all the instructions got us on our way quickly. The motorhome was great for traveling around the South Island and was super comfortable for two people . We would definitely rent again if we came back!

Shane has a small fleet of camper vans that he personally manages together with his wife. We had a great experience with his Fiat Pulse Ducato 7m. While not brand new the quality and features had us in awe. Couldn't find a fault with anything. In addition, Shane is readily available for any 'on the road' queries. Pickup & handover was quick and painless. We will definitely be coming back as we've only tapped at the door of New Zealand and its beauty.

The van was beautifully presented and had more than everything we needed, appreciate the airport pick up and drop off.
